Hi! I’m Ri, the gal behind the camera.

I’m 29, a wife and mom of a little girl and sweet boy. We live in a little river town with no stop light in Eastern Oregon.

You’ll find me with a matcha in hand, worship music or Mayday Parade radio playing (no in between), and if that’s not on, there will definitely be some reality tv on like Farmer Wants a Wife or Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader reruns from 2006. I’ve probably got about… 4 house projects going on currently, all about 80% done and this is one of my three jobs. When I’m not shooting, I’m momming. I’m with my kids 99% of the time and you may even meet them at our session if dad is busy guiding. ;)

11 years ago, I was seventeen and got a dslr camera for Christmas. I was PUMPED. Started taking pictures of my friends & posting them. That turned into a full blown photography business called “in focus photography” which I had all through high school & into my early 20’s.

I never charged more than a $100 bucks unless it was a wedding, but I did get to do over a dozen. It was so fun. I was on my way to shoot one when I was 18 & hit a buck. My car got totaled. Had to get picked up by the dad of the bride and remember crying by the end of the day because of the stress. Funny now, not so funny then, haha.

Back then, I didn’t know much. I didn’t know settings, types of cameras, I didn’t have presets or any type of business plan.

I just knew I loved it.

Years went on by,

I took a hiatus from photog from 2020-2023 because of a job that took up most my time, but in November of 2024, I picked my camera back up (got a new one for Christmas again.. Wow, full circle moment huh)

I taught myself the things I hadn’t known before about settings + more, rebranded and changed my business name to Yesterday Photography (because time is fleeting & any photo you look at will be from yesterday or older) and put my 29 year old effort in which, shocker, is much more productive than 17 year old effort.

I feel SO aligned and on fire to grow this business & capture anything yall will let me.

So that’s me, the girl behind the camera that hopefully you’ll let take some pictures of yall for the wall.
